Langa Township
Shooting for Rothko, a PR agency in Cape Town, gives me the chance to listen in on some really interesting panel discussions and events at The University of Cape Town (UCT). One such occasion was for the UCT Graduate School of Business, which is part of a global community of international institutions hosting a Study Tour of Cape Town and its local communities.
As part of the students' introduction to doing business in Africa, the groups were divided into teams and taken to township/informal settlements to see how people in these communities see their disadvantages as opportunities for entrepreneurship in a different way of doing business.
While documenting these excursions I was able to listen to the teams from countries all over the world interviewing people in their homes to get first-hand knowledge of the challenges they face in doing business and how they overcome it.
