Chocolates in Belgium

Buying chocolate in Brussels is like walking into a Willy Wonka-land with as much pride put into it as diamonds in a jewellery shop.

The place where fine chocolate becomes fine art is Europe's first shopping arcade, opened in 1857, the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert.

The highlight had to be the chocolate mousse whipped up by chef Alim at l'Atelier de Neuhaus. This shop is known as the birthplace of chocolate pralines and smells divine.

This art-nouveau palace of shopping still have its original tenants from years before, including glove makers and hat shops, true to its original use.
