Fashion: CTCFD Final Collections
Last Saturday was Cape Town College of Fashion Design's annual fashion show. I recently got to work with one of CTCFD's talented students, Sarah Crombie (picture below), and I was so excited to see her refreshing take on fashion. The workmanship was flawless and I was so impressed by her eye for detail. The print in these textiles was designed by her and then sent for printing, which is something I am very excited about. Sarah was lucky enough to win the Truworths most "Commercial-ready" design award. It is therefor a great privilege to have been invited to see the collections of her peers.
The show was held at Lagoon Beach Hotel in Milnerton, and the team from Devon Anderson Concept did a great job in coordinating the event. The lighting was perfect and kept the mood exciting and after ending the night with some speeches and awards I left thoroughly impressed and excited to see what these designers have waiting in the future.
